How to pick the right disposable diaper for your baby

In the case of pants style diapers, the fit around the leg openings is very important. Be sure to choose the size that fits with snug comfort, and no gaping around the legs. If the diaper seems tight, or the leg cuffs leave marks, it may be time to size up.

Proper sizing prevents leaks

Properly fitting your baby's diaper ensures their comfort and protection. In the event of the following situations, it may be time to move up to the next diaper size.

The diaper leaves red marks on your baby’s legs or waist.
Your baby’s navel is no longer covered by the diaper.
The fastening area of the diaper, where you stick the tape to seal the diaper closed, has moved further outward.

Please check to be sure whether your baby requires a smaller size diaper:

Your baby may require smaller size diapers if you can fasten the tape at a position inward of Position 1.
You may want to choose a smaller size diaper, if you can fit one or more fingers comfortably between the diaper and your baby’s legs or waist.

Note: If your diapers are too big to use now, please be aware that properly stored diapers can be kept until your baby grows into them.
